Event: New York’s Path to Affordable Energy

The Empire Center for Public Policy will host an exclusive event in Buffalo, NY to help raise awareness about the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.

The 2019 law — one of the most consequential in recent state history — paves the way for a dramatic restructuring of New York’s economy that will impose huge costs on New Yorkers while providing few environmental benefits.

What does New York’s energy future look like? James Hanley, Empire Center Fellow, will explore how New York’s environmental policies are creating the conditions for grid reliability risks and how we can chart a path forward for affordable and reliable energy.
