The Empire Center’s Budget Spend-O-Meter project reflects the all funds financial plan disbursements of New York’s state government for the current fiscal year (April 1, 2019 – March 31, 2020). The Spend-O-Meter calculates the amount spent since 12:00 am on April 1, 2019.

The Spend-O-Meter calculates the amount based on the “clock time” of the viewer’s computer. Viewers with incorrect time setting or malfunctioning computer clocks may see inaccurate numbers.

Note: $175.5 Billion is based on the preliminary Enacted Budget, as reported by the Division of the Budget.
