EC is looking for an experienced and collegial business manager to join our entrepreneurial, energetic and dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the organization while contributing to the overall team effort. It’s a great opportunity for someone with the right skills who wants to advance a mission they are passionate about.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Financial Management
    • Assisting with annual budget development
    • Preparing financial reports
    • Managing cash flow, expenses and revenue projections
    • Managing and paying bills and invoices
  • Office Management
    • Ensuring that the organization is run with legality and conforms to established regulations
    • Onboarding of new employees
    • Running payroll and managing employee benefits
    • Managing subscriptions, vendors, leases and equipment including; office space, parking, telephone and internet
  • Managing supplies
  • Board of Directors support
  • Empire Center Internship Program Management
  •  Support
    • Scheduling and organizing meetings
    • Planning and managing events
    • Coordinating scheduling, travel, expense and filing as required

The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office and have some secondary education. Experience with QuickBooks is a plus. Most of all, the candidate will want to work at a fast-paced office where people care about their work and colleagues. Professional development is available for the right candidate. This position reports to the Executive Director and requires in-office presence in Albany, New York.
