Ever want to know how much money local agencies pay their employees?
It’s only a few keystrokes and a mouse click away.
The Empire Center for Public Policy, a non-profit state government watchdog group, posted the payrolls of 384 local agencies to its SeeThroughNY Web site Wednesday.
Eight local agencies were posted to the Web site, which also contains school district contracts with teachers and superintendents, legislative member items and state employee salaries including the governor down to dormitory desk attendants at state colleges.
The highest paid employee of all local agencies is James Griffin, executive director of the Hornell Industrial Development Agency. Griffin earned $126,261 in 2008, according to the Web site.
But that is much lower than other public officials, according to SeeThroughNY.
The highest paid public authority employee is David Hohn, executive director of health policies at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. In 2008, Hohn earned $1.52 million for his work.
In fact, none of the top 100 employees received less than $300,000, according ot the Web site…
