I read your recent article about the Lake Placid School Superintendent James Donnelly and his generous severance package.
As you may know, his contract is posted on our government transparency Web site, www.seethroughny.net. The year-old site also includes teachers contracts for the state’s 733 school districts plus teachers’ salaries statewide for a previous year.
This information may be helpful to your readers and reporters in following the Lake Placid story. They might be surprised by some of the superintendent’s benefits.
We are adding some local government information later this month, which you should find interesting. The site also includes legislative member items, office expenses of individual state legislators, a benchmarking feature to compare local government spending and public employee payrolls – including NYS government, state and local public authorities, NYC and school districts.
