So, cheer up: you’d be paying more to fill your tank in California, Hawaii, Alaska or Connecticut.

Most of the money raised by the state’s fuel taxes goes into the Dedicated Highway and Bridge Trust Fund, so at least we’re getting really well-maintained roads and bridges for that money.
