The Empire Center for Public Policy says it has posted updated payroll information for all New York City government workers on the Internet, including the names and salaries of more than 475,000 full- and part-time employees.
The think tank also posts state and public authority payrolls at the site SeeThroughNY.net.
The center says the records show that New York Police Department employees earned $635 million in overtime during the 2012-2013 fiscal year.
Fire Department employees had the highest average pay, at $96,681 and highest average overtime at $21,594.
The report lists a supervisor plumber in the city’s Housing Authority, as overtime leader with $140,655 that brought his total pay to $234,812.
Of the top 50 overtime earners, 26 worked in the city’s Housing Authority.
