An updated staff payroll for the New York State Senate and Assembly was posted today at SeeThroughNY.net, the Empire Center’s government transparency site for taxpayers. The payroll is fully searchable by name and title, and reflects the latest changes made in the Senate staff payroll. The payroll, current as of Aug. 17, can also be downloaded from the site in spreadsheet form. It was downloaded from the Capitol Confidential website of the Albany Times Union, which obtained it from the state comptroller’s office.

The current legislative payroll can also be compared with the 2008 legislative payroll, which remains posted on the SeeThroughNY site. SeeThroughNY also includes searchable and downloadable databases of:

complete payrolls for every New York State and New York City agency, all public authorities in New York State, and teaching and administrative staff in all school districts;

state legislative “member item” expenditures and of legislative expenditures reports; and

teacher and superintendent contracts for all school districts.
